Red, Black & White Cherry Blossoms

Hi guys, quick post as I'm heading off to the movies with a friend very soon! Today I'm wearing OPI A Oui Bit of Red (Very goood application) and then an accent nail inspired by Indigo Nova. I originally had this desgin on all of my nails, but I felt it was a bit much so I removed it from my other fingers. For the design there is China Glaze Frosty mini gradient in the corner and then I used ORLY striper polish in Jet Black for the cherry blossom branches and then China Glaze White On White and Icicle for the blossoms.

I'm Back! Feat. Mod About You & White Polka Dot

Hi guys! Sorry I've been MIA lately but my internet was cut off due to a large storm last week!
I have a couple of posts to show you so I'll just get into it :)

This is two coats of Mod About You by OPI and then two coats of White Polka Dot by Nubar
I know it looks like I have a bazillion bubbles on my nails but it's the shimmer in White Polka Dot lol

Nubar Fire Sparkle Glossy & Matte (& Meet Me)

Hi guys, this is Nubar Fire Sparkle! It's got an awesome formula, opaque in two coats but fairly painful to remove because the glitter is soo tiny it gets all over your skin and cotton balls don't pick it up well -_- (Note to self: ALWAYS use the foil method with glitter)

Mattified & Meet Me after the jump!

Shredded Mani - Green & Black

Hi guys, as promised I jazzed up China Glaze Four Leaf Clover by doing a 'shredded mani' I think this was discovered by Erika from Chloes Nails. In fact I think my first blog post here ever was a shredded mani :P Click here for a terrrrrible photo of it lol

Anyway, this is China Glaze Four Leaf Clover (Not colour acurate) & China Glaze Liquid Leather for the tips :) Enjoy!
This was supershiny so please excuse the wierd shaddows on the nail.

When I looks at my hands normally they remind me of little Frankenstein Monster heads

Am I right? :P

China Glaze Four Leaf Clover

So I bet considering it's valentines day many of us will be sporting red or pink manicures but that just isn't my style :P
Today I'm wearing Four Leaf Clover from China Glaze's Up & Away Collection - technically more of a St.Pattys Day Mani eh?
This manicure is pretty plain so I will be jazzing it up as you'll see probably later today.

This colour is deffinately more green that this photo or any photo of it really shows. It's super bright but not quite neon & super shiny but not quite a jelly! It only needed two coats to be opaque and applied a wee bit runny but very manageable - I find this with most China Glaze's.
This is a really awesome colour, but again imagine it brighter, more saturated and more green! It's Ireland in Nail Polish Form :P

What are you guys wearing for Valentines Day? Do you match your mani to the season?

Blue & White Watermarble with Flowers

Hi guys! Today I have a watermarble inspired by Indigo Nova. Check out her video here.
It's a beautiful blue and white design with flowers created using a dotting tool!
As you guys know I'm not very experienced in watermarbling as this is only my third or fourth try, but I'm very happy with my progress and results so far.
For this design I used China Glaze First Mate & White On White.

The Purging of My Stash GIVE AWAY! [CLOSED]

Hi guys, so I'm in the process of widdling down my stash as I have an entire drawer in my helmer for swaps which could be better used to house polishes I want to keep. I recently gave away a whole drawer of drugstore polishes I never use and weren't in the best condition to my father to use for work. (He runs kids holiday camps and they have "county fair" nights where the kids set up stalls & stuff to get their nails painted or face painted etc)
But While my swap list grows, my wishlist dwindles as I'm slowly aquiring my most desired polishes. So I thought I'd do a give away as these polishes are in perfect condition and don't seem to be going anywhere fast on MUA lol.

For this give away there will be three winners
Unfortunately my camera is currently hiding from me, so I was unable to take 'real life' pictures of these polishes so the stock photos will have to suffice.

First Place will recieve a set of three OPI Nail polishes

This prize Includes OPI The Colour To Watch, a light purple with gorgeous irridescant shimmer, OPI's most famous shade I'm not really A Waitress, a gorgeous shimmery red and OPI Pearl of Wisdom a great pearlescant layering shade from The 2010 Hong Kong Collection

Second Place will receive a set of three China Glaze Nail Polishes

This prize includes China Glaze Below Deck, a classic purple taupe with grey undertones, China Glaze Stella a stunning shimmery dark magenta and China Glaze Go Go Pink, a clean, crisp pastel.

Third place will recieve two Nubar Nail polishes

This prize includes Meadow Sparkle a gorgeous green tinted base with grassy green glitter & Sky Sparkle, stunning electric blue glitter in a clear base.

I've never done anything like this before and I'm not really sure about how to go about it. But I'm not interested in one of those give aways where you leave your email and that's it. I want it to be a bit more personal :)

How to Enter
To enter you must be a follower of this blog and email me at
caitt.fraser@hotmail.com
with your answer to this question:
How did you get into nail polish?
This will gain you one entry, if you post about this giveaway and also leave the link to the post in the email you will get two entries.
The winners will be drawn at random on Sunday the 12th of Feb at midnight Eastern Standard Time. The winners will then be notified on Monday the 13th.

UPDATE: GIVEAWAY IS OPEN INTERNATIONALLY!
Good luck to all!

Valentines Ruffian! Kayla Shevonne Re-creation

Hi guys, so it's rainy and pouring today and I am so not happy about it. Not only did I get soaked walking from my car to work (at 6.30 in the morning), it took me ages to get a half decent photo of this manicure. It was so overcast and horrible today my nails were barely noticable in most of my photos.

Anyway, I got this idea from Kayla Shevonne She is an awesome blogger with GORGEOUS nails. I really like the ruffian style but it's quite difficult to get perfect.

Anyway I started with a black creme by LA Colors and then painted my ruffian with Tall Poppy by Models Prefer (Australian Brand) I then used Sally Hansen White On to free hand the hearts as an accent nail. I really like this manicure but it was a lot of work for me. The cleanup was also not nice, as I absolutely hate working with black and red as they leave my cuticles looking dirty or irritated. Anyway, as I said I really liked it (I even got a compliment from the lady at my local post office). If you have tried the ruffian are there any tips for easier application?
